The con is over...
So the con is done and was a success. I have prints and buttons left over, so I thought I'd sell some through the interweb. Just click HERE to see the buttons available (they're cheaper than Prickie and will be until theyr'e gone!) and how to order them. For the prints, please visit this deviantart journal HERE to see what I have and how I'm selling them. Cheers!
Here's a sample of some of my buttons:

FanExpo Map
We finally know where we are! Here's the map.

We were hoping to be where we were last year, such a great spot right near Rue Morgue and all the celebrity booths. I don't know why they bother asking where you'd prefer to sit on the table application forms, 9 times out of 10 you never get what you want. But we have an end table which is good for lots of traffic and it's easy to get in and out for food and bathroom breaks.

The Mummy: Theme Park
From the box:
An earthquake has revealed an underground city of the dead in Egypt. It is a holy place and is cursed but this doesn't stop the Sheik El Sahid from building an underground Mummy Theme Park there!
Dan and Julie are brought over from the USA to publicize the new venture and the Sheik shows them how he has made the original mummies into bionic talking beings by implanting microchips in their heads.
But the Mummies react aggressively to the bright lights - they snap off their restraints and threaten Dan and Julie.
Even the Sheik and his men are not safe as more and more mummies break loose and attack!
The best bits:

Tiny people, HUGE forground skeleton!

FASHION!

Fashion!

Fashion?

Fa...where'd the rocks go? That dude must have stolen them.

Egyptian...dollhouse?

Little castle!

Genius. Using a miniature room to create a feeling of size and then putting a plush toy in there for scale.

How do you create a cast of thousands? Use mirrors!

At least we know where the toilets are.

The Mummy.

The Hero.

The Heroine.

The Shiek.

The Science.

The Concessions.

Now where could that Mummy be?

Oh, there he is! He was hiding!

The Mummy's mild wrath.

The happy ending for all? Not for those watching.

FIDO LOVE

The powers that be at the NATIONAL POST were recently asked by the folks who made the amazingly awesome zombie movie FIDO, if it would be OK to use the Zombie Pet Care Guide Leigh and I did for the original Canadian release of the movie to promote FIDO now that its going to be playing in even more Cities. The National Post said yes, and stuck it up on their website. If you haven't seen that zombie guide check it out HERE
The Producer of the movie even said if they need anything else like this I'll be hearing from them....
Oh and if FIDO is playing in your neck of the woods go see it, its awesome.

The Mighty Boosh!

I first heard the radio show sometime last year and thought is was just so bizzare. The more I listened to it, the more I liked it. I bought the DVD box set of the two series of the show and I think I'm now obsessed with it. I had to do something with these characters. Now I can't stop drawing them.

MOVIES and STUFF!

So last Sunday Leigh and I went to see Pan's Labyrinth, which was awesome, If not just a wee bit depressing, While I was buying tickets a lady came up to us and asked if we were interested in seeing a sneak preview of a movie. I asked what it was, as you can see from the images in this post the answer was HOT FUZZ! The follow up to Shaun of the Dead! Needless to say we said yes. I'd give a detailed review but all the things I loved about this movie would be too spoilerific so all I'll say is, even though we've now already seen the movie for free we are definatly going to be paying to see it when it comes out in April.
I thought it was a bit better than Shaun of the Dead, but then again I also thought the movie The Marine was entertaining (if you enjoy 80's action flicks like COMMANDO do yourself a favor rent The Marine, which really should have been called EXPLODE: the movie). Also just to promote myself a little. There's a book coming out on the 21st that's got atleast one peice of my art in it (at least thats what the author is telling me) Dig that cover.

PSP Tubes
I finally gave in. You can now buy some of my art as PSP tubes for signatures and tags.

Leigh Young PSP Tubes Image Licensing available at Sticker Chick
What the hell, eh? I get enough people asking me permission to use my art and enough people already use my art without permission, so I figured I'd see if people would be willing to pay for the artwork. There are 12 images available right now. Hopefuly they'll do well and I'll be willing to put up 12 more images in a few months time.

FRIDAY THE 13th part 192
A fan film by my pal Sean "Chudtwo" Mcleod. Starring Sean's brother Kagan as the guy in the ugly shirt and Me as the guy who throws the football and JASON! My first two roles in a film, and one of thems a monster! Sean and Kagan have made some hilarious movies together. This one is the best, cus I'm in it.
hooray!
Also in the February first issue of the NATIONAL POST they let me do the art for their Month Ahead calendar. I managed to convince them to let me put the killer from the Canadian slasher film MY BLOODY VALENTINE in for the valentines day image. check out the Paper on the First to see the other things I did. Including my first ever picture of Ghost Rider!
